Gamma Counters
Long Island Scientific specializes in the service of most makes and models of Gamma Counters. We sell mainly the Wallac Wizard series, but we also service and occasionally sell many of the older instruments including the Wallac 1272 CliniGamma and 1282 CompuGamma, the Packard Minaxi A5000 Series, Genesys, Iso-Data, Berthold, and Searle/Tracor/TM Analytic systems. Our experience with these instruments dates back to the late 1970's during the early years of Long Island Scientific.
Wallac Wizard Models:
The Wallac (Perkin Elmer) Wizard is the most versatile Gamma Counter available today. It is available in 1, 2, 5 and 10 detector configurations. It is also available in two sample changer sizes - a compact version with capacity of 550 samples, or an extended sample changer with capacity for 1000 samples. The Wizard is also available in a single 3 inch detector version for research applications. Standard features include an energy range of up to 1000 KeV (2000 KeV for 3 inch version), a built-in 99 isotope library, RIA and QC software, live spectrum display, built-in CRT monitor and slide-out full keyboard.
Wallac Wizard2 2470-0100 Gamma Counter
The Perkin Elmer Wizard-2 model 2470-0100 is the newest gamma counter from Perkin Elmer. Features 10 detectors, 550 sample capacity. Runs on Windows 7 with touchscreen display. Incorporates the proven design of the original Wizard system with an updated computer and software platform for easy data handling via ethernet and USB ports. Comes completely calibrated and guaranteed to meet original specifications including detector efficiency and resolution. Includes 1 year warranty for parts and labor (most US regions). We offer inside delivery, installation, calibration and training for this instrument. Long Island Scientific also provides extended warranties and field service contracts for many locations.
Wallac Wizard2 2470-0200 Gamma Counter
10 detectors, 1000 sample capacity, Windows 10 embedded computer, V2.3 Wizard2 software. System is in perfect condition, calibrated and guaranteed to meet all original PE specifications. Extended warranties and service contracts available.
Wallac Wizard 1470-005 Gamma Counter
5 Detectors, 550 sample capacity. This instrument combines high throughput with the flexibility needed in research applications. Includes all standard accessories such as tube racks, protocol ID barcode labels, new Epson LX300 series printer and operation manual. 6 month warranty for parts and labor. Installation, calibration and training services are available for most locations.
Wallac Wizard 1470-010 Gamma Counter
10 Detectors, 550 sample capacity. This system is ideal for busy laboratories requiring high throughput with limited bench space. Includes full set of tube racks, protocol ID barcode labels, new Epson LX-300 printer and operation maual. 6 month warranty for parts and labor. Installation, calibration and training available for most locations.

The Perkin Elmer 1470-020 gamma counter features 10 Detectors and 1000 sample capacity. This system is perfect for busy laboratories requiring high throughput. It uses true-well detectors with an energy range up to 1000 KeV. Built-in RiaCalc-Wiz software for full RIA data reduction. Includes 6 month warranty for parts and labor.
